Are you a skier? Be sure to visit the nearby slopes for some great skiing and snowboarding activity.  You can expect lots of natural Skiing near Asheville North Carolinasnow in the higher elevations and mountain peaks, but snowmakers are added on the managed slopes as to keep the pack fluffy and ideal for recreation.  One great thing about our climate and weather is that the lower elevation stay relatively snow-free, so getting around and back and forth to the slopes is fairly hassle free.
