When to Plan Your Asheville Honeymoon

The best time to visit our area for your Asheville honeymoon depends on your preference and what you want to experience. If you prefer to avoid crowds, then the quiet season in spring or summer is perfect. If you enjoy everything fall and don’t mind some crowds, then September and October are the perfect times to come for your Asheville honeymoon.

Don’t rule out an Asheville honeymoon in winter. Despite the cold weather, some attractions and towns across Asheville host amazing holiday celebrations that are rather romantic, including the tours at the Biltmore Estate. Many hiking trails are perfect year-round, including the nature trails on our property. After your walk, come back to the inn for a cup of hot chocolate near a fireplace.

Where to Stay for the Best Asheville Honeymoon Experience

No matter when you decide to have your honeymoon, you want a peaceful, romantic place to stay. The Sourwood Inn offers some of the most romantic Asheville rooms. In particular, the Sassafras Hideaway cottage offers a unique romantic experience as you are nestled privately in your own cabin. Our Hummingbird room in the Main Lodge has a king-size bed with a cozy wood-burning fireplace and balcony in the bedroom.

If you’re looking for an Asheville honeymoon package, we recommend adding on some of our amenities including wine and dining at the inn. We can also have a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for you or sweet treats from the French Broad waiting in your room at check-in.

On top of that, you’ll enjoy an exceptional and bountiful breakfast buffet in our dining room or on the beautiful garden patio at our intimate Asheville bed and breakfast. Our freshly prepared breakfast buffet includes plenty of fruit, vegetables, and a hot main dish that rotates between savory and sweet. Afternoon refreshments include fresh baked cookies, savory treats, and our signature herbal teas.
