Springtime in Asheville is quite magical! More daylight, warmer temps, blooming flowers, budding leaves, birds singing, and the bees buzzing- you get the picture- we all want to be outdoors and celebrating springtime in Asheville.

Welcome spring with a trip to Asheville and stay at the VERY best Asheville Bed and Breakfast, the Sourwood Inn Bed and Breakfast.

Biltmore in Bloom

The Biltmore is interesting and beautiful all seasons., but our very favorite time to visit and walk through the famous gardens is in the spring. Renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted designed the gardens where you will find more than 100,000 flowers blooming. If you have a favorite flower or tree that you would like to see in full bloom, check out Biltmore’s website which chronicles bloom times.

Enjoy Outdoor Entertainment

Asheville and our surrounding towns are filled with inviting breweries, pubs, restaurants, and wineries. Many offer live entertainment. Check out this website for up-to-date calendars.

Experience the Ancient Art of Falcanry

This is an up and personal “hands-on” experience with a bird of prey. You will accompany a licensed falconer for one and a half hours and learn the ancient sport of falconry. Then, if you wish, you’ll have the opportunity to handle the raptor and experience the exhilaration of having this magnificent bird perch on your gloved fist. Check out the details here.
