To our valued guests,
As the rise in COVID cases from the Delta variant accelerates, the Buncombe County Department of Health & Human Services recommends that all individuals wear masks in indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. Effective August 9, 2021, all guests and employees will be required to wear masks in the indoor common areas of the inn. With our many outdoor porches, patios, nature trails, and your private balcony, you will find many areas to relax without having to wear your mask.
At the Sourwood Inn, we continue to adhere to the highest cleaning standards possible. In the last year, we have implemented additional measures in the face of Covid to ensure our guests feel safe and relaxed during their stay at the inn. If you are not feeling well before your visit, we ask that you cancel your reservation and we will not hold you responsible for any last-minute fees. More details are highlighted below.
As always, feel free to reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns.
– Connie and Proal, Innkeepers/Owners
When you arrive at the inn, our check-in desk is just to the left of the front door. The Great Room has plenty of room for you to safely distance yourself from other guests checking in or sharing the same common area. Our Innkeeper will be there to greet you with a smile behind a mask. Your room key will be disinfected. You will be required to wear your mask while checking in.
The same delicious breakfast buffet awaits you! We have expanded other dining tables into the common areas to maintain a safe dining distance from other guests. We ask that you wear your mask to and from the dining area.
Our dinner option is served to you each evening Thursday- Sunday. Your server will be wearing a mask throughout your service.
Every time a guest checks out, that room is aired out, deep cleaned, and prepared for the next guest. For the time being, our team won’t enter your room for daily room refreshment. In the interim, we have included a tray for your convenience to remove any service items from your room, including bags to remove any accumulated trash, used towels, and an order form to order more toiletries, fresh towels, or any other items you may need during your stay. Our housekeeping staff will fill these orders daily.
All common spaces and high touch areas will be cleaned multiple times daily and disinfected using the Essential M.I.S.T Fogging and Sanitizer. This sanitizer is an EPA registered, NSF certified safe and hospital grade disinfectant.
Hand sanitizer is available in every common space.
Thank you for your help in making Sourwood a safe destination and cheers to a great stay at our mountain lodge.
