In trying to express our gratitude to you, we find, as is often the case, that words don’t adequately express our feelings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sourwood Inn. The accommodations were superb, the food was outstanding and the setting was serene and peaceful. Most importantly, the gracious hospitality you provided was truly heartwarming. In our church, hospitality to our members, friends and guests is an important mission of the church. We strive to make people feel that they are a part of our family. That is the feeling we had here. Susan, Anne and Nat and the entire Sourwood Inn staff; you made us feel welcome and a part of the Sourwood family. For that, we were extremely grateful and we thank you very much. – Summer 2010

This may be our favorite place on earth. Our 2 favorite places at Sourwood are the shower and the big porch. Thank you for this sanctuary. Don’t change anything! – October 2011

My husband did not tell me where we were going for our anniversary until we arrived. I was pleasantly surprised. The Inn is beautiful, secluded and the grounds are breathtaking. We loved our room (#10) and have booked it again for October. The ambiance here is better than every place we have stayed – and there have been many. The food was delicious especially the oatmeal pancakes. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Only thing I would recommend is a new sign – June 20, 2010

*Sourwood added another sign later that summer.

Once again Mike and I have had a wonderful stay in your lovely B & B! Your hospitality is beyond compare; our rooms are always spotless and so comfortable. The meals are delicious, plentiful and beautifully presented. Sitting on the balcony, looking at God’s incomparable creation, always nourishes and refreshes our souls. Enjoying the warmth and glow from the fireplace is true heaven! (Thanks Steve!) But most of all is the warm welcome…the friendly and efficient staff and natural beauty that is Sourwood. Do not change a thing!! Thank you to those folks who kept our rooms so fresh and clean. And a big Thank you to all who make up the Sourwood staff. PS The fresh flowers in our room add such a sweet touch. Most Sincerely, Mike and Karen (5th stay) April 24, 2010

Time has a way of getting away from you. Returning to our favorite ever inn after a 7 year hiatus and finding it more beautiful even than remembered did our hearts, soul, and mind wonders. The Sourwood Inn is aesthetically inspiring; pure 6 star luxury of the senses! The rooms are sublime, the food ridiculously delicious and the dear family of innkeepers among the finest people of the would be hard pressed to find more genuinely kind, considerate, friendly, fun and interesting hosts. With all love, cannot wait to return, sooner this time than last. – March 2012

From the time we enter the rustic trail to the Inn, my wife begins speaking in whispered tones. Such is the peacefulness and serenity of Sourwood. From Kacia’s wonderful meals to morning breakfast philosophy, it is home away from home and a place to completely relax. Try it, you will love it and come back often. – April 30, 2010
