What standard features are included in a guest room?
All twelve of our guest rooms have a private bath and bathtub with a view, balcony, and wood-burning fireplace (seasonal). Our Sassafras Cabin includes a screened-in porch, two full baths, a fully-equipped kitchen, a living/dining area, bedroom loft, and wood-burning stove.

Do you allow pets?
We do not allow outside pets, but our resident dogs would love your attention.
Will I get cell phone service?
Cellular service is limited. Verizon customers will have the best service; other providers are spotty at best.
How about wifi?
Get ready to unwind while you’re here – we do not have wifi access at the Inn. Many of our guests have expressed that disconnecting has helped to make their visit a truly relaxing experience.
How do I get there?
The Inn is located off the beaten path – so we very much encourage following the directions we provide on our website! Although GPS systems vary, most navigate well to our street address. Google Maps is also helpful. Please be advised that our entrance is a gravel road marked with Sourwood Inn signage on either side. Be careful not to turn down any unmarked roads when trying to locate us – you might find yourself lost!
Can Uber or taxi service access the Inn?
It can be difficult for Uber and taxi drivers to find the Inn if they are not familiar with our location – a wrong turn could wind up costing dollars and frustration. However, we can personally recommend a taxi service we have utilized, who knows our location well, if the need arises.
What about meals?
Each morning we serve a hearty, delicious breakfast from 8:00-9:30am, with coffee and tea always available by 7:00am. We also serve afternoon refreshments daily from 3:00-6:00pm. Both breakfast and afternoon refreshments are included with your stay.
Dinner is available by reservation, Thursday through Sunday evenings. Under the direction of our Executive Chef, Kacia Stuart, you can expect contemporary regional cuisine made with the best and freshest local products available. Menus and pricing are available on our website.
*Dietary/allergy restrictions: With adequate notice, we are glad to accommodate allergy and dietary restrictions. Please specify details upon booking your stay at the Inn, and no later than one week prior to your dinner reservation, so that we may make adjustments to your meal.
What is your cancellation policy?
We do hope you’re able to keep your reservation, but we appreciate that sometimes, unforeseen circumstances can prevent your visit. If you need to cancel your reservation, we ask that you contact us seven days in advance; additionally, please note that a 3-week advance notice is required for all October reservations.
